09 DecArt Basel 2011
Mommy and Daddy took me to Art Basel again this year. Â I was able to walk around and check out all the cool and funky things that pass for art! Seeing some of the scultpures and drawing made me think that my playdough and crayon art could fetch a pretty penny too. Â We had a great time on a great winter day in South Florida.
07 DecGetting my nails done….
I asked mommy to paint my nails. Â This nail painting thing is all because of Aunt Melissa. Â She was the first to paint my nails and now I really dig it. Â So I have inlisted mommy to keep up with my nails until Aunt Melissa returns..
25 NovFrankie the cat at Franco’s house
Tonight I went to family friend Franko’s house. Â I had a great time. Â There was lots of yummy food. Â And Franco got me a huge bounce house in the back yard to play in. Â But the best part was the cat I got to adopt/take home for a few hours.
To make a long story short: Franco had a small litter of stray kittens hanging around his house. Â I instantly fell in love with one of them a told daddy I loved it and wanted it. Â Daddy is a sucker and lost all sense of good judgement. Â So on thanksgiving night daddy brought the kitten, which I names Frankie, back to our house. Â Forget the fact that we had no idea how Yogi would react. Forget that fact that Aunt Addie may never have been able to visit out house again because of severe alergies to cats. Forget that everything was closed and we had no idea how to care for a kitten or where we would get anything for it on Thanksgiving night.
So we drove the 45 minutes home from Franco’s house with Frankie in tow cuddling with daddy as he drove. Â When we got home we introduced Yogi to the kitten. Â Yogi got down to the ground to smell the kitten. Â Once yogi got eye level with the tiny kitten…it hissed and swatted Yogi across the mouth! Â Yogi got the hint and backed off. Â So, we check off that. Frankie would be the Alpha dog in the house. Â But as frankie was getting used to the house and daddy and mommy were looking up everything on the internet about the care for kittens…Mommy’s throught and eyes began to get scratchy. Â It looked like mommy was alergic to cats too. Â So it was decided that Frankie would have to go back home to Franco’s house. Â So at 1am daddy drove frankie back. and waiting at Franco’s front door for the kitten was the other kittens and the mommy cat! Â Franco swore that it was better for the kitten to go home with us. Â He said it would just die out there all alone. Â Well, we made Franco promise to care for it and make sure nothing happens to it. Â I miss you frankie…..but I know it is for the best.
21 NovMiami Seaquarium
Water, fish, dolphins, and killer whales……WOW. Â This place was cool. Â Mommy and daddy have been busy bringing me to all the park around while I still get in free! I had a great time. Â I really liked the huge tank with all the fish swimming around. Â It was very fascinating. Mommy and I even got splashed by a huge killer whale!
18 AprPassover 2011
I am beginning to get the hang of these holidays now that I am getting older. For instance, this week I knew something was up when Daddy and Mommy starting getting rid of all the bread in the house and all these boxes of matzoh started showing up… Â It must mean Passover is coming. Â I was right.
Along with the all the Matzoh I knew that this would also mean Two big family dinners with lots of yummy food. Â Only difference is this year I really got to partake in all the yummy food. Â The first night was at my house. Â Mommy started preparing and getting all the ingredients for her homemade dishes the day before and then woke up bright and early to start cooking. Â If you haven’t figured it out by now….my mommy is a great cook. Â Nanna showed up later in the day to make her famous Russian Cabbage soup. Â I helped Nanna stir the cabbage and the $100 plus dollars worth of Kosher flanking meat ( nana goes a little overboard). Mommy made an amazing vegetable Matzoh Lasagna.
At our seder Sammy and Hannah read the 4 questions ( but in no time I will be reading them being that I am the youngest) while Daddy lead the Seder. Â Then everyone took turns telling the story of Passover and reading from the Haggadah. Â We were joined by cousin Jason who always has a smile on his face! The meal was great. Â Everyone ate too much food.. which is a really good sign for Passover! Â Sammy even ate like 8 peices of gefilte fish.
The next night the seder was at Uncle Seth and Aunt Addie’s house. Â Aunt Helene and her son cousin Andrew along with family friend Jan joined us too. Â It was lots of fun and always a good time when everyone gets together….. Â now I just hope that I will be able to poop in the next week after eating all this Matzoh!!!!!
Next Year in Jerusalem
02 AprDate night with Daddy
Today was daddy daughter date night. Â While mommy was working Daddy took me out for the night to Fort Lauderdale Beach. Â We got to play in the sand and the water as the sun was setting and then checked out the sights and sounds on Fort Lauderdale’s strip before grabbing a bite to eat at the world famous Primanti Brothers . Â I really enjoyed walking around on the strip, people watching and dancing to all the music coming out of the bars and night spots. Â And As a good mommy myself I made sure to bring along my dolly so that she could have fun too. Â ( make sure to check out the video’s below too)
28 MarTime with Grandma and Grandpa
Grandma and Grandpa came into town to visit. Â I am very lucky that they come to visit me so often. Â When they come down here we always head out on the town. Â And on this trip we went to watch the horses race. Â It was a nice sunny day. Â Grandma and Grandpa bought me a toy horse so I had something to remember the day with. Â The next day we went to an outdoor Jazz Festival and walked around the riverfront and ate some lunch. Â It is always great when I get to spend time with family.
19 MarBoooo Haman: Purim 2011
This was my second purim celebration and I was ready this year!  I already had a taste for Hamentaschen and gragers from last year.  And this year I lasted the whole time in my awesome costume.  I was dressed as a lady bug ( they didn’t have any queen ester costumes in my size).  This year Nanna, Uncle Seth and Aunt Addie, and Hannah and Sammy came to my temple for a purim party.  They read the whole Megillah and we shaked our rattles at the right time. It was a lot of fun.  Even Mommy and Nanna got into the fun and dressed up.  Then the next night we partied again at Uncle Seth’s temple.
27 FebJulia plus Dalya plus bubbles equals a good time.
Today Mommy’s good friend Randi came to visit us from New York for the day while she and her family were on there way back home from a cruise that left from Miami. I got to finally meet Randi’s daughter Julia. Â I had heard all about her and how she was such a cutie and mommy and daddy’s wedding. Â Being that it was anouther wonderful South Florida Winter day we hung out by the pool and played with bubbles and ate pancakes. Â I also shared my talking Elmo with Julia. Â She seemed to love it as much as I did! Â It was a bubbliciously good time.
